Sadio Mane set to leave: Mane is irreplaceable, not even Diaz_Dean Saunders
Rumours have it that there is a possible departure of the 30-year old Teranga Lion striker, Sadio Mane from Liverpool. Some people believe the striker is exceptional with his playing style and deserves better than how he was treated.
It was some say, a derogatory manner to treat Mane! Some say the club management needs to do better in convincing the player to stay in the club because it will be a great loss for Liverpool if Mane leaves the club, adding that the Mane is an irreplaceable attacker.
The Wales legend Dean Saunders back this claim up, saying he (Mane) is a versatile player and his performance at the champions League final is exceptional, even though his side lost.
“As a striker, I watched him at the Champions League final, he finds little pockets, he drifts in from the wing, he drifts inside, his legs are like concrete, strong, he’s quick as lightning, he scores goals.” — Dean
Liverpool’s January transfer window signee from FC Porto, Luiz Diaz has been impressive for the club, but Saunders doesn’t think its a good idea letting Mane go and keeping Diaz as replacement.
Luiz Diaz on the other hand has been in his top form. His performance this season has been nothing short of interesting. In the champions League semifinal against Villarreal, his performance was so exceptional that it helped his side to qualify for the final, also in the final he was a threat to the Las Blancos.
“Diaz is a good replacement, but they’ve just got to give him (Mane) what he wants,”
“Liverpool are doing really well at the moment and losing someone like him could knock them sideways.” Saunders backed
Bayern Munich has been the number one contender for the 30 year old Mane, they’re hoping to sign him as replacement for the possible departed 34year old Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
